No Village is responsible for purchases made through its online shop, including printed books produced and dispatched by third-party printing and fulfilment partners.
Digital products
No Village digital products are supplied as downloadable digital content. Product pages describe what is included, the format and the price before purchase.
Unless otherwise stated, purchases are licensed for the purchaser's personal or household use only. They must not be resold, shared, uploaded to shared drives, distributed to clients or families, reproduced for training or used as an organisational resource without permission.
Immediate delivery and cancellation
Digital products are supplied immediately after purchase.
At checkout, you are asked to expressly consent to immediate supply and acknowledge that, once supply of the digital content begins, you lose the normal 14-day right to cancel.
Where you have given the required express consent and acknowledgement, supply has begun, and the required confirmation has been provided, your statutory change-of-mind cancellation right ends.
For that reason, change-of-mind refunds are not normally available once digital content has been supplied under these conditions.
Your statutory rights are not affected. If digital content is faulty, not as described or otherwise does not meet your statutory rights, please contact No Village at hello@novillage.co.uk so the issue can be resolved.
Paid digital content has statutory requirements, including satisfactory quality and being as described.
If the legal conditions for loss of the cancellation right have not been met, any applicable statutory cancellation rights remain available.
Printed books
No Village sells physical paperback and hardback books through its online shop.
Books may be produced using print-on-demand services, meaning that each copy is printed after an order is placed.
Although books are printed to order, standard, non-personalised books remain subject to the statutory cancellation rights applicable to online purchases.
Prices and delivery
Book prices are displayed on the relevant product pages.
Delivery charges are calculated separately and displayed before payment.
Available delivery services, destinations and estimated delivery times depend on the options shown at checkout.
Printing and delivery times may vary according to production requirements, the delivery destination and the shipping service selected.
Books will be delivered within the agreed delivery period or, where no different period has been agreed, within 30 days after the contract is made, subject to your statutory rights.
If an order is delayed, lost or does not arrive, please contact hello@novillage.co.uk.
Change-of-mind cancellations
You have the right to cancel an eligible printed-book purchase without giving a reason.
You may cancel at any time before delivery and up to 14 days after the day you, or a person you nominate, receive the book.
Where multiple books are purchased in one order and delivered separately, the statutory cancellation period will generally end 14 days after receipt of the last book.
To exercise this right, email hello@novillage.co.uk with a clear statement that you wish to cancel.
Please include your order number where available so that we can identify your purchase quickly.
You do not need to provide a reason.
You may also use the model cancellation form at the end of this policy, although this is optional.
Returning a printed book following cancellation
If you have already received your book, you must send it back within 14 days after informing No Village of your decision to cancel.
Customers are responsible for paying the direct cost of return postage for change-of-mind cancellations.
You may use an appropriate postal service to return the book.
Please use the correct address for your chosen delivery service.

The package must meet the size, weight and service requirements of the delivery method selected.
Please package the book appropriately to protect it during transit. You are not required to use the original packaging.
You are not required to purchase a tracked delivery service, provided your chosen service is suitable for the package and return address.
We recommend keeping proof of postage.
If you are uncertain which address to use, please contact hello@novillage.co.uk for guidance. Requesting return instructions is not a condition of exercising your right to cancel.
Handling and condition of returned books
You may inspect and handle a book to the extent reasonably permitted in a physical bookshop.
If a returned book has been handled beyond what is necessary to establish its nature and characteristics, No Village may make a deduction from your refund to reflect any resulting reduction in value, where permitted by law.
Examples may include significant damage, staining, extensive marking or deterioration caused by handling beyond normal inspection.
Any deduction will be proportionate to the actual reduction in value and assessed individually.
No automatic deduction will be made simply because a book has been opened or reasonably examined.
We do not charge cancellation administration or restocking fees.
Refunds for cancelled printed-book orders
Following a valid statutory cancellation, No Village will refund:
- The purchase price of the cancelled book or books.
- The original standard delivery charge, where required by law.
If you selected a delivery service more expensive than the least expensive standard delivery option offered, we are not required to refund the additional amount.
If you cancel after receiving the book and we have not offered to collect it, we may wait until we receive the returned book or satisfactory evidence that it has been sent back, whichever is earlier, before issuing the refund.
Refunds will be made without undue delay and no later than 14 days after that point.
Where no goods were delivered, refunds will be made without undue delay and within 14 days after we are informed of the cancellation.
Refunds will be issued using the original payment method unless otherwise expressly agreed.
We will not charge a refund administration fee.
Damaged, faulty or incorrect printed books
If your book arrives damaged, contains a printing defect, is incorrect or is not as described, please contact:
Please provide your order number, where available, and a brief description of the problem.
Photographs of the book and its packaging can help us investigate printing or delivery issues, but providing photographs is not a condition of exercising your statutory rights.
We recommend contacting us before sending a faulty or damaged book back, so that we can investigate the problem and provide the appropriate return instructions if a return is necessary.
No Village will work with its printing and fulfilment partner where appropriate to investigate the issue.
Depending on your statutory rights and the circumstances, the appropriate remedy may include a replacement, repair where applicable, or refund.
Where a return is necessary because goods are faulty or do not conform to the contract, No Village will arrange collection, provide a prepaid return method or cover reasonable return costs, as required by law.
Customers will not be responsible for the reasonable cost of returning goods that are faulty or do not conform to the contract.
We may be able to resolve some issues without requiring the original book to be returned.
Your statutory rights regarding faulty, damaged, incorrect or misdescribed goods are separate from the 14-day change-of-mind cancellation period and are not limited by it.
Orders containing both digital and printed products
Different cancellation arrangements apply to digital downloads and physical printed books.
Where an order contains both types of product, the applicable statutory rights will be assessed separately for each item.
Consent to immediate supply of digital content and the associated loss of digital-content cancellation rights does not remove your statutory rights in respect of printed books purchased in the same order.
Information and guidance products
No Village guidance products provide general information and practical support.
They do not provide individual legal, medical, financial, clinical, safeguarding or other professional advice.
Laws, guidance, policies and services can change, so readers should check current official information where appropriate.
Your statutory rights
Nothing in this Terms & Refund Policy excludes, restricts or replaces your statutory consumer rights.
Where mandatory consumer protection laws apply, those rights take precedence over any conflicting provision in this policy.
